Launching another challenge, probably our simplest one yet. Give it a try!

The International Mathematical Olympiad is the most prestigious competition for high schoolers, and this year it's being held in Shanghai (in fact, it's still underway as I write this).

We have now released this challenge where you'll find the 6 problems the contestants faced a few days ago. They're hard, even by modern IMO standards, but a few of them are genuinely beautiful.

Take your time with them, and enjoy the struggle ;)

The next two challenges are now live (you can find them on the competitions page as always), each running for a few weeks! As before, one is on the friendlier side, i.e. accessible to anyone with middle school math knowledge, and one is tougher, requiring some olympiad-style problem-solving experience. Good luck!

Since the EMO mirror, we've been working on a few things: improving the UI and adding backend functionality. We'll share more details on the latter later, but in the meantime check out the new dashboard and stats page, which now features an XP curve among other things. Feedback is welcome!

All that said, good problems are important. We're ready to commit to publishing 4-5 problems every few weeks, starting today.

The goal is to have something for everyone, from middle school all the way to IMO-level and university students.

Happy to provide you an opportunity to try mock EGMO 2026 live, an event that only 4 girls from each country can actually attend.

As you probably know, the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad is among the world's foremost mathematics competitions for high school students, and the largest dedicated exclusively to women. Since its debut in 2012 with just 19 countries, EGMO has grown remarkably, now bringing together:

• 60 countries

• 250 contestants

• 500 people

The day 1 problems are now live, and the day 2 ones will be live tomorrow once we get a hold of them. Neither will affect your (ELO-based) rating, but you can get some experience points. Good luck!
